Enjoy In Champagne Chocolate Truffles

By Katrina Wheeler

Champagne chocolate truffles were probably invented by Adolf Teuscher, back in 1947, and his company still produces these widely popular, immensely tasteful sweet desserts. This lovely layered combination of high quality chocolates and expensive champagne creates a real rhapsody of tastes. Your palate will surely appreciate the opportunity to enjoy in it.

Originally, this dessert had a sweet champagne filling hidden in rich and smooth dark chocolate ganache, surrounded with milk chocolate layer and dusted with sugar. Today, numerous recipes exist, and some are trying to re-create the original, while others create new and exciting stories. All similar attempts are quite tasteful, and you won't make a mistake if you try some of them.

Sometimes you will find beautifully shaped truffles, but originals are always hand-made, and irregularly shaped, just like the real truffles. White or dark or even milk chocolates are always so tasteful, especially in this lovely combination. Some truffles are even decorated with eatable gold, and they really make highly luxurious desserts.

Some recipes include some other ingredients, for example cognac. Some are really complicated to make, while others are quite simple. The point is in using high quality ingredients, and to put just enough sugar to make them sweet, but not too sweet, so all the tastes can be recognized and enjoyed. If you want, you can try preparing these desserts at home, or even create new ones.

You can try making your own version at home. Three hundred grams of dark chocolate with very large percentage of cocoa should be melted in one hundred grams of reduced champagne. When everything is smooth and shiny, you should add fifty grams of butter in it and leave it to cool. If you want sweeter dessert, add some sugar in wine first. Form small balls and roll them in powdered sugar or in fine cocoa powder.

This recipe is more complicated. You should start with reducing the wine, with some sugar added. In the end, add foamed butter and let it freeze. Choose very dark chocolates and melt them with the addition of cream. When cold, it should be a thick paste. Make small balls and put a smaller ball of frozen wine cream in it, and then dust everything with powdered sugar. It requires a little more work, but you will be more than satisfied with your results.

If you use different milk chocolates instead, remember they won't be so aromatic. High quality, hand made truffles always contain a high percentage of cocoa, very little amount of sugar and irresistible touch of high quality champagne underneath. The price can be quite high, but sometimes you deserve to treat yourself with something really special.

Champagne chocolate truffles make luxurious gift every person will appreciate. Surprise your dear people with such exquisite dessert packed in very appealing box. These beautiful little things are so incredibly smooth and tasty, full of the most sophisticated taste that your gift will surely be highly appreciated. You could also surprise your own palate once in a while, you certainly deserve it.
