Do You Crave Pancakes That Are Light?

By Helge Vang Andersen

Do you crave pancakes that are light and soft? Many people love the taste, feel, and sensation of a lovely pancake cooked to perfection. Here are a few useful tips to help you create a pancake that makes those in your household look forward to breakfast time.

While in search of the perfect pancake, one should never hurry. If you need more time, you may have to get up a little earlier in the morning, but the extra minutes can make all the difference in your cooking. Slowly blend your wet and dry ingredients a little at a time, and it is best to use a whisk. Sometimes lumps can occur, but they are easily strained with a sieve.

It is not a good idea to start cooking your batter right away. Give it a few minutes to set. This allows all of your ingredients the time to blend properly. A well mixed batter will yield fluffier results.

Cooking with butter can add extra flavor to your creation, but one must exercise caution. Butter easily burns and you can ruin the taste of an otherwise perfect pancake, so vegetable oil is better. Also, keep the cakes small and it is easier to make fluffy and tasty cakes which are evenly cooked.

Your spatula may work well for many things, but it is not the best choice for creating a great pancake. Instead, consider a good pallete knife. Its flexibility makes it easier to check and flip a lighter and softer pancake.

Do you crave pancakes that are light in nature? It will not be too difficult if you slow down and take more time. Remember, the initial pancake of the day may be imperfect. After your pan heats up, the next ones will be much better. Be patient and persistent, and soon you will be creating a breakfast no one wants to be late for.
